There is a growing consensus that Environment, Health and Safety Compliance and Management System audits, whether standalone or integrated are an integral part of any well functioning HSE management system. The Conformance Check EHS Auditor was designed according to the procedures outlined in ISO 9010 and 14010/ 14011 standards on auditing, to assist both corporate internal audit teams and consultants perform EHS compliance and management system audits to guidelines published by international standard setting bodies. The Conformance Check EHS Auditor: Stores information on the scope, schedules and risk of the audit. Allows the user to quickly view pertinent sections of environmental legislation: federal, provincial and municipal. Allows the user to select the relevant criteria and easily assemble an audit checklist. Each question on the checklist is referenced to appropriate legislation, codes of practices, acceptable Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and the company's policy/procedures and standards. Provides a comprehensive method to complete audit check list including a multiple choice response, (e.g. S - Satisfactory, NC - Non conformance), store detailed notes and audit findings, make recommendations and corrective action plans, and identify reference material (document or person) and root causes. Has its own set of criteria specific reference documents, which may include legal definitions, tables of numeric standards or appendices. Reference documents can contain tables and graphics as well as text and allows the user to view, enter and maintain criteria references. Allows the user to import document images, i.e. PCX files, for assessment and subsequent storage with audit notes. Allows user to generate detailed action plans, prepare reports or generate a site-specific report including all recommendations. Has both English and French Graphical User Interfaces. An advantage of the Conformance Check EHS Auditor over other programs is that ALL criteria are referenced and accompanied by explanatory notes along with the ability to incorporate user notes, questions and information.
